Côte Saint Jacques, Joigny, France - my only 3 Michelin Star experience:
I had one of the best meals ever here with Sophie a couple of years ago. The photo’s of a baked avocado, stuffed with truffle… Jean Michel Loraine introduced us to physalis stuffed with rosemary ice-cream, too. We had a 10 course epic, and it was a beautifully choreographed masterpiece.
You know you’re in a great posh restaurant when they treat you well even if you’re wearing jeans and t-shirts, unlike some 1-Michelin star eateries in London. (Côte Saint Jacques is 3 stars…)
I cannot recommend this place enough. And the service was impeccable. Go, if you ever get the chance. They even do a children’s gourmet menu…
